All in all an interesting dram and my respect for using local oak!!
A rich, spicy and sweet whisky with aromas of honey, star anise, oak, cloves, cinnamon, pepper, apple, sawdust, floral tones (dandelion, sunflower), prunes, alcohol, hint of menthol, gooseberries, hint of antique wax, grains (mainly rye), yeast, sultanas, multigrain bread, solvents, varnish, hint of milk chocolate and more oak.
A powerful, spicy and dry whisky with aromas of honey, alcohol, licorice root, star anise, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, hint of sweet cloves, nutmeg, red apples, solvents, varnish, hint of antique polish, tannins, oak, cedar wood, licorice allsorts, bayleaf, hint of camphor, citrus (blood orange and grapefruit peels) caramel and more oak.
A medium long and dry finish with aromas of tannins, licorice root, caramel, grapefruit peels, pepper, nutmeg, ginger, hint of clove and a lot of oak.
