  1. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Aberfeldy is known from the OA rather than very complacent to soft-rinsed. This one is a very interesting change, so it is also different.
    • Nose
Pure: very spicy, pepper, cinnamon, sawdust, fresh herbs, wall paint ... the sharpness vanishes before I decide to dilute, but there's something peach jam, I dilute out of curiosity anyway - let it rather, only tickles the sharpness get out and bring nothing
    • Taste
strong, peppery, a very interesting sweetness, kräutrig, between forest honey and herbal liqueur, with an impact resin / tree needles, but without becoming too bitter or bitter
    • Finish
first honey / herb liqueur, then wood and pepper - long, hot, hot, dry

Nose: fruity (apricot, mirabelle) and sweet (Nimm2-candy), vanilla, honey and some oak (so fresh cut oak), the alcohol is super integrated, full and intense without being too over-demanding.
Taste: strong onset, first intensive fruit (towards multivitamin juice), vanilla, peppery with a lot of oak now, On the finish, dry woody with honey sweetness, fresh (but not bitter) wood and lots of fruit again. Medium. Unnamely tasty and making you want more.
Yes, exactly what I was hoping for - full fruit, lots of vanilla and fresh wood with pepper as a counterpart. You could say typical bourbon cask whisky now and that's true but it's damn well done. no miss notes and nothing dominates - everything that makes up a good bourbon cask whisky is in here!
Many thanks, Heidjer, for taking me a bottle from the Promised Land.
