larswehmeier scored this whisky 86 points

I was expecting a little more sherry flavors, but instead was surprised by more tropical fruit notes.
Unfortunately the exit is quite short, otherwise 1-2 points more would have been possible.

Fine, cooling smoke rises first into the nose. It looks floral and brings freshly cut grass. Immediately afterwards a fresh breeze of orange and lemon. A good portion of spicy oak is also included and your nose tingles a bit. Over time in the glass, it becomes sweeter and fruity. I discover pears and some coconut. With vanilla.

Silky, oily mouthfeel. Very nicely integrated alcohol. The smoke can hardly be seen. Instead, it is tropical fruity with pineapple and tart blood orange. The oak then shows up on the palate and it becomes earthy-tart. You can tell the age, but I can only guess if it was sherry barrels.

Mildly smoky. Oak. But overall rather easy. Medium length.
