Color: wonderful dark golden color, darker than the 12er original bottling (OA)

Scent: pleasant full of sherry aroma, alcohol is well integrated

Taste: very strong taste despite dilution, therefore tolerates much water (dilute to about 43%), otherwise alcohol is too strong, sherry, light bitterness, which lasts long, looks older than 14 years, seasoning

Finish: long finish / compared to Bunna 18 OA: less sherry, yet exceptionally great whisky with beautiful complexity 89P

A great sherried Bunnahabhain. Did not taste one like this before. I would really like to taste this one H2H with the Claxton's Bunna: (https://www.whiskybase.com/whiskies/whisky/104245)

Without a shadow of the doubt; a lovely sherry nose. Heavy but not too much. Dried fruit. Great! A few drops of water improves the balance.

Sweet with some pepper on the tongue. Like Defeatless mentions below: quite some alcohol in the mouth. The few drops of water do not change the taste.
    • Finish

Medium to long. Sweet again with some bitterness.

Very good sherried bunna. You don't get them like this very often.

Well matured in sherrybutts! I like this note quite a bit. It is a fresh sherry nose. There is indeed some menthol/mint in the background. There coffee, dark chocolate and, as usual, some dried red fruits.
Although a little water might open this one up. So with water: Indeed it gets better. The mushroomy notes from the finish are also in here. And loads more chocolate. But I seem to enjoy it quite a bit

Very sweet and nutty. This gives a very clear red fruit note. The alcohol is quite a bit in the way though. There isn't a whole lot of change with water. More sweets I think

Long length. It starts a bit bitter. But after that you get quite some dried red fruit notes and a pleasing bit of wood influence. It fades away with some mushroom influence, which I find quite nice.
With water: The bitter notes are less prominent. So it got quite a bit better.

Sherry and a little alcohol. Toffee, caramel and forest fruits.

A lot of sherry, creamy, pepper, caramel and dark chocolate. Little sweetie.
