    You can tell directly that it is a single cask Ardbeg, it is very different from the OA and has great new balance notes to the smoke, which itself is also different than in the OA, like very well!
    • Nose
      Puuuh, first crass smoke towards Fujikai almost increases, citrus notes, hazelnuts, chestnut, dark chocolate, some mildew, lovage, nutmeg and carnation come later, is more pleasant
    • Taste
      Very nice sweetness, both from herbs out, as well as the citrus notes, chocolate, carnation, lovage, positive Maggi note, leather, nutmeg, wild garlic, beautiful herbal honey and frankincense, I like it very much
    • Finish
      Again smoky, warm ashtray, grapefruit and lemon drops, plus the clove and other sweet herbs, long

    Difficult Malt, which can not inspire me right away. Acts somehow "unfinished" and the slightly sour note does not really suit me. Needs a lot of time in the glass.
    Too bad, I already had much better Ardbeg in the glass, even if that is not a bad malt.
    • Nose
      Sweetish-fruity smoky note with a tart impact, whereby the smoke is not as dominant as initially expected. A citrus note can also be found. The sourish flavor fades with time and makes room for freshly smoked barley, which is good for the malt and makes the nose much more harmonious.
    • Taste
      Sweetish citrus notes and peated barley, also here with a sour note. I do not really like it somehow. Behind it already dull smoke and oak notes. Not necessarily complex, the alcohol but very well involved.
    • Finish
      Here it gets really smoky. Cold ashtray also fights through the citrus notes and dominates the finish. Long and warm, the malt trickles down the throat. The ash, a sweetish smoke, lingers on the tongue for a long time, leaving a slightly dry mouth. For me the highlight of this malt.
