Scent of sweet wine, raisins, butter, a little wax and dried fruit. On the palate it is dense and sweet, tastes of vanilla, butter and chocolate, with a slightly acidic note of sour fruit. Long, creamy, butter, chocolate finish.
So very cask-forward it's hard to score. I couldn't tell there was Benriach distillate in the glass, because everything's drowned in sauternes. May appeal to friends of port finishings, but not my cup of tea at all.
