- lovely representation of the distillery. would be better at cask strength
- Amazing whisky: a little old man who is not his age. No great complexity: here everything is a matter of wood ... It makes me oddly think of a Arran 10 years ... Only its low price does not make me regret its acquisition.
Wood, wood still wood ... Very closed nose that requires time or water to open. The oak crushes everything and only a few fugasse scents of apples manage to escape. A little discreet leather.
As dry as one can imagine from a whisky aged in Hogshead, the mouth is consistent with the nose: the barrel dominates, oak, vanilla and finish of mouth on the cereal. Disappointment. Much less greedy than his younger brother of 19 years.
Short on a pleasant bitterness that fades in favor of a return of the cereal.
