A balanced Lagavulin with a lovely sweet peaty note and taste. I'd bet on a first fill bourbon hoggie, as the sweetness is rather complemented by vanilla. No estery notes and the smoke is there but not overpowering (both contrary to the 8yo OB). Very balanced and nosing the dram brings me back to Iain's warehouse tastings.
Very good stuff that brings other notes to the glas than the 12yo special release OBs.
