A very light nose for an Ardbeg. Light yet complex. Grain, herbs, little sweet, smoke and only a slight hint of peat. Then also fruit. Citrus. Peat is slowly coming up more certainly. Taste is less complex, rather dry and slightly sweet with clear peat. Dry, slightly bitter aftertaste. http://onversneden.com/2008/11/23/enkele-peaty-douglas-laings/
- Malty and smoky aroma, ripe banana, heather
honey, cinnamon, vanilla and peat smoke. Marzipan sweet taste, peat
smoke, anise, mint, pepper, orange marmalade, floral honey and malt.
Long, sweet, smoky and malty end.
