To be honest, I was expecting something else. It's the oldest Littlemill I've had to taste, and I was waiting for a super-juicy, juicy, ultra-greedy UFO; with intoxicating floral scents. And that's not the case! While the nose is attractive (albeit a bit wise), certainly the whole is not bad, but the malt too much and the plant reduces to a minimum make me think of a young whisky pretty lambda, while I'm dealing with a (very) old whisky from my favorite distillery. The whole is nevertheless pleasant to taste, but I remain on my hunger.
86/100 (with the nose that enhances the rating).
    • Nose
Dry malt, fruit dust, mirabelle liqueur. Not hyper fruity (unlike what I expected), but very quickly a balance between the old fruit and the malted cereal settles. After a very long aeration, a very dry vegetable settles down.
    • Taste
The fruit is more present here than at the nose. Lemon, pear, cherry plum. Malt comes in vanilla popcorn. A touch of sweet and spicy spices, and the fruity bitterness that appears over time.
    • Finish
The malt becomes drier, dusty and even woody. Olfactory returns on white alcohol, and a very fine minty at the end of the mouth.

If you think Brora and Karuizawa is rare, i’ve had far fewer experiences of Littlemill, two in fact before this - and they’ve both been excellent.
N: Papaya, honey, pineapples, putty, plimsoles, paper-mache and clay. Perfect, flawless so far.
T: Large & prickly start but with a slick & waxy mouthfeel. Moves to a sour & bitter putty note into the finish. Things are ideal again at this stage after the boisterous beginning.
F: Sour aniseed coupled with the malt - the refill cask playing second fiddle. You know you've had something special.
C: Amongst some stiff competition, this was one of the best drams today. Then again, it’s been quite a day. Blog

    A bit boring. Tasted blindly.
    • Nose
Massive vanilla, wet paper, nuts, acid, bananas, cocos.
    • Taste
Vanilla all over, a dash of salt and nuts.
    • Finish
Dry finish. Salt, vanilla and spices.

Tasted at masterclass and I didn't like it.

The finish is short and aromas are not very precise.

I may have missed it, because I've heard very good comments aside.

But I think this one is just clearly not my taste.
