The Panel would have stuck with this all night. Pine resin, geranium and polished wood stimulated the nose but the Vault-maniac said `it's an old-fashioned sweetie shop!` Sure enough, we found lemon toffees, vanilla fudge, toffee apples, butterscotch, white Toblerone, caramels and sugared almonds. The flavour was `mellifluous` and velvety (yet packing a punch). The lady-chef fantasised about `sofa indulgence` involving this and fine chocolate. Water brought jaffa cakes and orange sabayon to the nose; sweet tobacco, leather, meadowsweet and polished furniture to the palate. `All's well with the world`, said someone - nods of agreement. Made by sixteen men, apparently.
