At the first sip you might say: "Beautiful, intense sherry whisky, yummy cocoa!", But when I taste it, there are edges, gaps, mistakes, cobbled together quickly, like a theatrical backdrop, covered with cocoa, if you like getting closer or even bumping into it, everything comes together. A blender, Bauer catcher. If you're not careful, you're tempted to spend the € 55 and regret it later.
    • Nose
initially a bit dusty-musty, then clearly sour (dry white wine), in addition to raisins and cocoa powder ... Acidity is weaker over time, it comes a bit dry wood
    • Taste
creamy on arrival, a lot of cocoa, nutty ... or better: walnut (distinct bitterness), again a splash of dry white wine (feels a little astringent in the cheek pouches), then straw-woody
    • Finish
medium long, lots of cocoa, but rather baking cocoa, quite bitter, woody

For Dalmore, it is quite inexpensive, but the work on the balance of whisky is very felt. Good and pleasant malt, take and drink.
    • Nose
Raisins, prunes and spices, milk chocolate, an old barn, black tea, some tobacco leaf, wood, nuts and herbs.
    • Taste
Slightly dry with a barely noticeable sweetness, delicately bitter, good balance. Tart bitter tree, chocolate, nuts, berries.
    • Finish
Medium-long, soft, slightly tart, so refreshing rather than warming. Wood, grass, chocolate, dried fruits.

In the second sip, the whole thing does not get better. He is certainly not unknowable, but he does not belong in the price range. In that sense, I'm completely into Marko.

First a big swing of everything! Brandy with fruit cocktail, partly fermented, yeast and cocoa. Sort but relatively quickly and becomes more harmonious. In any case, nobody has to look for strong aromas. Sorted I would say dark honey, lemon zest, quite sour the whole thing. Calm down, the acid softens and juicy raisins appear, sprinkled with cocoa powder. He is heated again clearly restless, slightly alcoholic with fermented fruit and yeast, not mine!
    • Taste
      76 76
Fairly strong (slightly spicy) for its 40%, but watery consistency. It starts chocolaty and then quickly becomes quite dry and dry, like cocoa powder (the real, not the sweetened).
    • Finish
      72 72
      Bitter and short.

The bitterness on the back tongue lingers extremely long, bitter almond or so, slightly artificial.

I smell vanilla, dates and raisins. A scent that makes me think of After-Eight chocolates and a light tone of pineapples follows.

First vanilla again, complemented with marzipan. Some anice and a bit of dark chocolate follows. At the end I taste some nuts.
    • Finish

Short to medium-long. Spices and coffee with sugar lingers on. And some vanilla shortly after.

Nose: A good portion of dark fruit that goes very well with a subtle toffee note. From the first contact with the Dalmore Regalis, the sweet aroma that it exudes in the fragrance is pleasant.

TASTE: With a hint of syrup that brings vanilla but caramel with it, the Dalmore Regals is sweet and fruity at the same time. After prolonged contact, a finely dosed trace of heather honey remains on the palate.

FINISH: Here the fresh vanilla and liquorice notes predominate, which elegantly fade with a subtle fruitiness.

Smells like a plum or cherry chocolate dessert sprinkled with walnuts. Taste is oily, then sweet and very smooth. A very good experience but one dimensional
