Very pleasant spicy and fruity Glen Scotia, not an exaggerated sherry bomb.

For a sherry ripened whisky amazing "light" with apricot and light citrus fruit and pleasant pepper sharpness. Is my opinion best in the filled starch and without dilution and multilayered.
    • Nose
Strong nose, the alcohol is to be felt, then very fruchitg - ripe apricots, rather bright fruits. At the second tasting, the bouquet of juicy apricots and light grapes becomes even more intense. Then the oak joins with a few delicate herbal notes. / With a few drops of water it becomes "lighter".
    • Taste
The 50.5% are very noticeable. The apricot fruitiness turns into ripe orange and a mixture of light and dark grapes, slight bitterness mixes under it. Also in the mouth comes some oak. / With a little water then the slight sharpness with oak note comes to the fore.
    • Finish
The finish is medium long and is increasingly characterized by slight oak bitterness. / A few drops of water also change the finish in the direction of spicy oak notes, it remains long and warm.

  7. St. Pauli scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

A weird whisky, seems a bit out of balance. However, it's tasty.
    • Nose
Rather minty for a sherry cask (was it first matured in bourbon?), then sherry, raisin, plum, orange, polished oak and barley.
    • Taste
Quite drying, with hay, peach, mint, and loads of wood influence (wood, pepper).
    • Finish
Not as cloying as expected, on pepper and ginger. Next, there is sherry and almond.
