White fruits (pears and lychee), acetone, green grain and oak, oranges, birch syrup, rye and vanilla

A touch of birch beer, first. Followed by butterscotch, oak, spiced rye and vanilla, and banana custard. 

Soft finish.  Sweet rye with faint allspice, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, and still fainter walnut. 

I'm not a big rye whisky or Johnnie Walker fan, but this was surprisingly good. The smells and tastes are a bit hard to find, but if you want to they are there to be found. I'd seen and read reviews that mentioned the creamy mouthfeel, and I am happy to concur. One of the best Johnnie Walkers I've come across and a good bridge to rye whisky.

quite some sweetness with clear rye influence. Also reminds me of single grain whisky, including the typical glue nose. Vanilla and a bit of spices are present too.

Once again rather sweet, but now more spice notes than the nose gave away initially. some caramel notes and bread notes are present too

medium long, again mostly sweet. some spiciness mingles nicely with some oaken notes.

Normally not my favourite brand, but this expression is quite good :). Nice influence of the rye casks, without dominating the character of the whisky
