Vanilla and spices. Hints of grains, coconut and oranges.
    • Taste

Sweet notes of dark chocolate and vanilla. A nice tone of spicy oak develope and I taste a spicy note of cinnamon. Rye at the end.

Medium-long and warm. The oak sticks for a bit.

    Room temperature when tasting: 25℃

Eyes: Golden Scent Nose: The rye gene is still very strong, with the sweetness of grain, it is still red bean meal bag and custard pudding, followed by spices, probably turmeric powder, cinnamon, and cardamom. A little milk biscuits, and some mild creamy aromas. If you want to try rye, but are afraid that you can't accept it, you can start from this, like rye after weakening the style.
Taste Palate: The sweetness is high and the bitter base is obvious. It still has the creamy taste of red grain, with a bitter taste in wood. The spice flavor of rye is also somewhat, not too spicy.
Final rhyme Finish: short, syrup, bitter base, a little bit of rye Yuwei body Body: light and watery, no cohesion, heavy bitter base

    Nose: 84/100
    Palate: 83/100
    Finish: 81/100
    Body: 81/100
Overall: 82/100, it's still a way of reconciliation, the more the red-like aura is in the back, the heavier it is, but it's covered with a layer of rye.

    • Nose
Surprisingly spicy start with warm rye seasoning, caramel and full, ripe fruitiness. In the background honey, oak, biscuit-like maltiness and a hint of smoke. Will then syrupy, flambéed banana, glazed apples and roasted almonds.
    • Taste
Warm, spicy start with a noble mouthfeel. Rye flavor, then full caramel-like sweetness, chocolate biscuits, glazed apples, sugar syrup and dusty floristry.
    • Finish
Long, clear and fine spicy oak, a hint of tobacco and dark chocolate.

Tasted it head to head with the red rye finish. There were some similarities, but this one had the upperhand. Fuller and sweeter in the nose, more power in the taste.
    • Nose
Sweet, vanilla, cinnamon, citrus fruit, tangerines, rye-ish, bananas, cloves and somewhat grain-like.
    • Taste
Firm, full, sweet, vanilla, cinnamon, some creamy fruit, bananas, wood, honey, pepper and again somewhat grainy.
    • Finish
Rye-ish, spices, citrus fruit, a little bitter note, oranges, medium length.

I'm not a big rye whisky or Johnnie Walker fan, but this was surprisingly good. The smells and tastes are a bit hard to find, but if you want to they are there to be found. I'd seen and read reviews that mentioned the creamy mouthfeel, and I am happy to concur. One of the best Johnnie Walkers I've come across and a good bridge to rye whisky.
    • Nose
White fruits (pears and lychee), acetone, green grain and oak, oranges, birch syrup, rye and vanilla
    • Taste
A touch of birch beer, first. Followed by butterscotch, oak, spiced rye and vanilla, and banana custard.
    • Finish
Soft finish.  Sweet rye with faint allspice, dark chocolate covered espresso beans, and still fainter walnut.

    Tasting Notes:

  7. Noface83 scored this whisky 81 points Specialist

Nose: a lot of vanilla and typical Grain / Bourbon sweetness, caramel, peppery Rye seasoning (also some caraway), solvent (not meant here in the negative) He has gotten quite a bit of the Rye - blind nobody would guess a Scot. Not very complex, but delicious and aromatic.
Taste: first soft then comes a strong pepper sharpness, bread with a lot of caraway, honey, burnt caramel - in the finish then short and heavy coffee, bitter oak and again a decent portion of Rye seasoning. Violent but short.
Fierce and interesting part. He has more to offer than the Red Rye finish but he is not quite as "easy-going". The departure of this is a bit too violent and too short. Nevertheless, a great blend!

Normally not my favourite brand, but this expression is quite good :). Nice influence of the rye casks, without dominating the character of the whisky
    • Nose
quite some sweetness with clear rye influence. Also reminds me of single grain whisky, including the typical glue nose. Vanilla and a bit of spices are present too.
    • Taste
Once again rather sweet, but now more spice notes than the nose gave away initially. some caramel notes and bread notes are present too
    • Finish
medium long, again mostly sweet. some spiciness mingles nicely with some oaken notes.
