Whisky Reviews for Invergordon Batch 6 TBWC

- I think within its simpleness this is an excellent whisky. It is so extremely drinkable at this strength it is scary. The one major area for improvement would be that the finish seems a little short.
that musty grain note but little in the way of sweetness; a slight tang of oranges
sweet, very corny
helped by the alcohol but just a touch of bitter woodiness as it fades: short -> medium
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Thick with caramel and chocolate, slowly developing chocolate digestive
notes. Golden Grahams, lemon cheesecake and banana bread later on.
Palate: Milk chocolate dipped in sweet, runny honey. Varnished wood, nutmeg and rye-like spices.
Finish: Big scoops of vanilla & toffee ice cream. Red apples and spiced oak last.
Overall: Once again, excellent Invergordon bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company!
- Generous on vanilla, roasted notes. A hint of alcohol. With water, you still win in depth. On the palate, light, creamy, vanilla. A little water brings white chocolate and a plethora of spices. The finish is fruity but not very persistent.
- N: Charming - this sits right in the middle of my comfort zone. A peppery spice balances the sweet~savoury.
T: Big presence, helped in part by the abv. Develops with a buttery, vegetal green with some [chemical] varnish more commonly seen in younger grains - probably a refill cask.
F: Sweet=creamy=sour vanilla
C: Very demonstrative of [older] grain whisky in general.
Scores a B-
