    • Nose
      84 84
Intense, baked apple, dried fruit follow by a lot of sweet spice cinnamon, anise and some ginger.
    • Taste
      82 82
Dry and some bitterness on the palate; sweet spice dominant with some dried prune.
    • Finish
      83 83
Medium + finish, brown sugar and some peppery note

  2. holborndrinker scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

A powerful flavour - as subtle as a smack in the face. Not bad.
    • Nose
      82 82
Fruit - raisins - some warmth to the nose. Similar to bourbon.
    • Taste
      83 83
Like a gentle flame thrower being gently played over one's taste buds - blimey.
    • Finish
      81 81
My cough and my breathe have been taken away, eventually leaves a smouldering heat.

  3. St. Pauli scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

With water, this whisky really opens and becomes a tad more open and friendly. This was a nice experience!
    • Nose
Malty and fruity, with a touch of salinity. Breakfast cereal, shortbread and vanilla strike first. They are gradually joined by notes of beeswax. Then, rich dried summer fruit (apricot, peach) comes in. Later, there is also white grape. A fresh see breeze, and polished oak complement this surprising nose.
    • Taste
Full-bodied, not overly sweet, with gentle bitter notes evolve towards the end.Quite barley-driven, rather fresh, and a tad less fruity than on the nose. It's very much on cereal, biscuits, vanilla, apricot, and spices (pepper, ginger, clove).
    • Finish
Here, the spices (the same as on the palate) take over, yet not overwhelmingly. They are followed by rich barley notes and soft dried fruit.
