Honey. Bee honey. But pungent alcohol that makes the smell a bit unpleasant. Leave something behind ... wouldn't give him the 18 years that way. Yes, it gets better, let stand again for 5 minutes. Ah much better now. Almost soft and the alcohol is almost gone. Furthermore, honey, a little vanilla, cane sugar, slightly waxy. Subtle sherry, some cinnamon and caramel. Very slightly mineral.
taste
Great, slightly sherry-ripened clynelish, waxy and now clearly mineral. That's how I like that. Furthermore brown sugar and cinnamon, but also mint and a little pepper. Salty and then very dry mineral. Great!
Exit
Peppery, a little hot and slightly tingly on the tongue. Dry, tart and very mineral. Again the honey and wax. Light sherry flavors.
Conclusion
Great refill sherry maturation with a typical distillery profile. Really good with a little time in the glass.
