The expected profile is liquor-oak with nuances of tropical fruits, caramel and wood impregnation in the aroma, creamy-wood, even slightly berry-caramel in taste, the finish is sweet, lingering, popcorn with nuances of a wet bathhouse.
An exemplary bourbon in the price / quality category, and it also proves very well that bourbons can be safely withstood for more than 5-6 years, the main thing to be able to.

The 90+ ratings that I saw here seem a little bit overrated to me.

Took a sample with me on holiday this year. Let's be clear and quick about this: good bourbon for an even better price. You cannot go wrong buying a bottle!

Mature strong bourbon with a clear gain at all levels compared to. the NAS standard bottlings from Jim Beam.
    • Nose
Very sweet caramel. A little burned. Syrupy. But then there is also a clear indication of the oak.
    • Taste
Delicious sweet bourbon. A lot of caramel. Strong oak.
    • Finish
Short but pretty spicy. The oak clearly shows its tannins.

Lovely nose, so subtle yet complex.
Finish short and nothing to remember, but that nose though...

Just around €35/L, what a steal!

Good is not good enough to describe this.
    • Nose
Don't know why, but the first thing that struck my mind putting my nose to this was ruby, like the gem stone, which doesn't have any particular smell, so it must have been some intrinsic feeling of quality.

Very unusual and unique, very nice.

Fruity sweet, gentle without any harshness what so ever.

Sweet sugared blend of different citrus.

      A nice frankincense spice mix.
    • Taste
      Sweet arrival with growing spice.

      Intense confectionary almond essence.

      Dark chocolate.

All together it reminds me a lot of an Anton Berg Plum in Madeira Marzipan bar.
    • Finish
Dark slightly bitter coffee, very rich creamy toffee.

Close to long lasting with an ever so gentle drying at the end.

They say bourbon doesn't age well, here is proof that it does.

This is wonderful stuff and i am just sad it's all gone. But I will definitely be getting another.
    • Nose
Sweet vanilla, cinnamon, felt tip pen, nectarine, kiwi fruit, dried orange and glazed toffee. The nose is wonderful I could sniff it all day.
    • Taste
Sweet almonds, smooth and creamy and quite complex. Bubble gum and cinnamon. This is quite delicious. The rye shows his hand early and it's a winner. Lots of butterscotch and spices.
    • Finish
The finish is nice and sweet with lots of Oak and chocolate orange.

oooowh, this is a nice sweet, gentle but yet complex bourbon nose! It's a bit syrup-y a lot of spices like five spice, coriander, cinnamon and cardamom in here! It is very well balanced on the nose!

Nice and sweet, quite a bit of fudge and vanilla but also again all those spices from the nose. There is also a little sour note with some oranges.

medium. I think this has been chill-filtered.

Rather long. I get coffee and chocolate first, then some vanilla and caramel cream. It fades away with nice wood notes.

Very fair! This is a steal!

It is basic and the pr on the back is sincere (which is very un-American)!

Very well done Jim Beam! Keep this up, it will be a standard bottle in my 'always an open bottle from it' at home!
