Thoughts: 87/100 - Surprisingly very good! Would have loved to see it higher abv, of course. A friend who is a big Bladnoch fan tells me that 1990 is supposedly a great vintage, and so far I cannot disagree. Any malt head bemoans a whisky at 40%, but a good one has its place in your collection to share with family and friends that are interested, but understandably afraid of high abv, big flavoured scotches.
Nose: (89) Buttery, apricot, golden raisins, cantaloupe, bruised peach, English toffee.
Palate: (87) Creamy, brown butter, peaches and cream, soft caramel. Good mouthfeel considering abv
Finish: (85) Candied Apple, caramel, loses steam but with nice flavours. A little flat at the end, but to be expected.
