Tar, deep sherry, red fruits, old wood. A powerhouse of a nose. Takes a while for the peat to come through with a full farm feel. Very very enjoyable
Smooth sherry mouthful. Hints of peat and smoke dance around with chocolate raisins, dates en caramel swirls in you latte macchiato.
Long and warm, silky smooth chocolate and whiffs of smoke.
- He gives, he gives ...! Enthusiasm 4/5 Whisky n ° 1287
Intense sherry and farm peat more and more pronounced, acrid limit. Later, chocolate. With a little water, more red fruits, and cooked fruits - including roast peach.
Massive attack on the ash, acrid smoke. Big texture. Deep sherry, juicy. Pepper. With a little water, more honeyed.
Vineuse and endless.
- deep, vibrant, smooth, perfumed, honey-sweet and very softly smoked.. a poem!
- Colour: Dark gold
Nose: neat: extremely floral, some ham notes (really!), oranges. strange, diferente nose. Oddly, very easy to nose despite the very high strength. with water: not much different except that a litle sweet note comes up.
Taste: neat: first things that comes to mind is: this can't be 60%!!! but apparently it is! well... flavours of malt, grass, wood. hard to pinpoint other flavours, lets see with water. with water: first of all, even with the high stregth it doesn't take water very well and "drowns" easily. still the same profile though.
Finish: neat: incredibly dry, really mouth drying! medium length. with water: remains very dry and grassy.
Comments: So, two things stand out: it's incredibly easy to drink and would never guess, if tasted blind, that it would be over 43% and if this is matured in sherry casks, for sure it's third or fourth refill casks as I can't pickup any traditional sherry casks influence. Still a nice whisky but hardly worth the (high) price!

(taste if you have the chance, don't spend any serious money on it)
