A great sherry bottling, it's really fun. No bad sulfur, only 'good' flinty notes, already quite harmonious.
If you need some water, it will be more harmonious and fruity.
    • Nose
      89 89
Raisins, figs, old leather, dusty library, a little bit flinty. Amarena cherries, blackberries, somewhat animalistic. Fudge, walnuts. Tight. The alcohol is present but not disturbing. Nice nose.
    • Taste
      90 90
Starts sweet and full, silky start; then clearly flinty, abundant spices (pepper, cloves, cinnamon), raisins and figs full. Sherry, caramel, blackberries. And again the dusty library. Has power and grip.
    • Finish
      90 90
Intense, flinty, nutty and also fruity sherry (raisins, blackberries), harmonious, dry (but not drying), nice long. The aromas from the mouth continue. Ends with cocoa and some flint and candied oranges.

    • Nose
Color: gorgeous! And one already guesses, how he smells. Very intense sherry barrel, a lot of oak, very nice. Strong alcohol in the nose, but the aromas suppress it. Heat comes from the smell ...
In the taste then continuation of the intense oak flavors. What a heavy, woody, but sweet malt! Sherry, chocolate, slightly nutty.
Very long finish, soft and sweet.

A true genlteman, a great old and mature sherry whisky!
    • Nose
Sherry, nut and old leather dominate at the beginning. Cinnamon and cherries preserved in rum, wood polish, with time much more sherry sweets!
    • Taste
      Relatively dry, more leather and old dusty wood, more nut and deep red fruits but more hidden in the background, looks very old and set, wonderfully mature, an old gentleman;
    • Finish
Very long and powerful with a lot of old sherry, very spicy and not too old old dusty wood and polish!

    Linkwood 1989 26y Small Batch 175,-€

    Sherry Butt 51,4% 0,7l No. bottles: 534
Nose: Orange blossom water, sherry, a little bit of meat stock, along with toffee apples and lime pickle.
Taste: Slightly sweeter then the nose, the meatiness is much fainter and there is more toffee apple flavour.
Finish: Banoffee pie and flaked chillies emerge in a long finish.
