It seems to be nothing complicated, but incredibly tasty and whole
    • Nose
      91 91
warm honey and wild herbs, vanilla and a little cinnamon, ripe tangerines, candies, light and airy
    • Taste
      91 91
butter with a drop of lemon juice, ripe fruits, banana and orange, mango, full-bodied and juicy
    • Finish
      90 90
citruses, a little tobacco, cherries, vanilla, long and pleasantly viscous

That is a kind of matured whisky you should try to touch the old style of producing. Those notes of clockwork oil make it outstanding! High league! No doubts!

    • Nose

Feels like a Glen Ord in terms of its waxiness, the honeyed and grain profile.
    • Taste
      94 94
Malted barley, honeyed malt, cornflakes, floral with light hints of herbal greens. Very waxy, coats the entire mouth with oils that would pass off as paraffin.
    • Finish
      92 92
Long and oaky, fruity. Still very oily with a lingering sensation of green apples.

  6. malthead-sven scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

a good and adult malt, the burden of his both old age and price but he can not resist.
    • Nose
begins restrained, lemon slices, floral, something like in the greenhouse, then pushes some nougat powder underneath, Brazil nuts, later come green bananas,
    • Taste
Here you can clearly see the influence of the wood, but the age makes it mild on the tongue, pear jelly, green tea
    • Finish
long and oaky, little fruit, just a little sweetness in it

    Excellent Glen Elgin. Recommended.
    • Nose
Wow, what a superb start! Waffles with maple syrup and baked pineapples at first nosing. Notes of acacia honey and stewed pears with cinnamon.
    • Taste
Fresh with sweet lemonade at first mouthfeel. Tastes like green tea with ginger, lemon and honey. Lovely,
    • Finish
Long, becoming slightly drier with herbal and zesty aromas.
