The nose is awesome, the rest is not behind
    • Nose
fresh in the glass comes pineapple, banana, sherry, fruit cocktail, light vanilla, strawberries, after a while in the glass it becomes saltier and chocolatier and through the alcohol comes the association of rum raisins.
    • Taste
peppery, sweet, with lots of power. slightly creamy, gets a bit bitter back
    • Finish
Laaaang with neat pepper and oak With water even more spice and pepper and the sweetness disappears almost completely

Really good sherry whisky but not heavy, rather light and creamy.

After the bottle was open for many months the rating from the second tasting is quit elower because of the leathery finish, almost sweaty and kind of sulphury - too bad
    • Nose
      91 91
Peach, vanilla, bananas, creme brulee - much more vanilla than I remembered
    • Taste
      89 89
Punchy, oily, creamy, fruity, bananas, peaches and vanilla again, sherry wood, and hints of leather and boots
    • Finish
      88 88
Medium long, warm, still fruity but also more leather and boots

The second tasting not even so good. Too bitter, too much acid ...

    • Nose
At first fruity and fresh. Citrus fruits. Oranges. Pineapple. Malt. Nuts. After a while, the barrel influence becomes stronger. Leather. Raisins. Chocolate. However, the sherry does not kill the Brennereicharakter, salty sea air rises in the nose. Overall, the malt looks very complex and well-balanced.
    • Taste
Wow, the complexity of the nose continues in the mouth. Citrus fruits. Forest Fruit Marmeldade. Cherries. Chocolate. Dark caramel. Salt. Some pepper. Oak.
    • Finish
Long. First a malty sweetie. Then drier and more bitter. The oak spice occupies the whole mouth. Roasted coffee. Dark chocolate. Again and again a salty note flashes.

An eleven-year Bunnahabhain for good and glad 110 €. Is he the value? In my eyes, yes. You do not get the typical sherry whisky here, with the sherry ironing all the others. The sherry is rather integrated here and leaves room for other flavors. The citrus aromas, the slightly salty Bunna. I really like Malt very much.
    • Nose
Direct raisins and chocolate are in the nose. These flavors quickly make room for citrus notes and a decent portion of malt and cereal. There are pepper and nutmeg. The alcohol is noticeable but not too dominant. The flavors are nicely supported. A slightly salty note is still noticeable in the background. The oak from the barrel is also there. This is more spicy and less bitter.
    • Taste
It is slightly viscous and creamy in the mouth. Now the alcohol is a little more noticeable than in the nose. It tingles properly, but undiluted is this malt for me to enjoy. It uses spicy, slightly bitter oak. Add pepper and nutmeg. Again, a touch of citrus flavors. It gets dry easily.
    • Finish
The finish is long, spicy and bitter with chocolate and dark cherries. Now coffee and roasted aromas are added. At the end, the oak tree pushes down again. It stays very spicy after oak tasting on the palate.
