    A Glengoyne where you can feel the PX influence from the finish, it also looks a bit older than the 14J. You have to like the slightly tart finish in the finish, I find it coherent and well integrated. Overall, a great sparkling sweet-spicy malt with nice dark fruity aromas, without being overloaded. It tolerates a few drops of water, which makes the slightly alcoholic note disappear.

      sweet and fruity; Sugar beet syrup; dark fruits; Dates; Raisins; some vanilla; the alcohol stings a little but not really annoying - with water it becomes fruity and develops notes in the direction of fruit gums; delicate oak notes that stay in the background
      - Great nose that looks older and where you can clearly feel the PX influence.

      sweet-spicy approach; slightly peppery sparkling spice comes up; delicately tart oak notes join in well; Dates; Raisins; Herbal notes; Cinnamon; dark chocolate; with water it becomes creamy and the chocolate and sweet dark fruits come out even more clearly

    NOSE: wood, burnt-out candle wick, dried fruits, cranberries, dark bread, leather, raspberry compote on custard, sweetened vegetable broth, light fruit jelly with citrus peel, effervescent candies

    MOUTH: quite alcoholic, custard, bitterness towards grapefruit (not too short!)

    ABKLANG: warming, light citrus aromas, steamed kohlrabi

    Only because of the fantastic NOSE still made the 80!

    A delicious Glengoyne who fortunately is not overloaded with the sherry but still has gotten a lot. I particularly like the spicy-sweet-chocolate finish here
    • Nose
      fine first nose with great intense PX-Sherrynoten, unfortunately some pungent alcohol, caramel, barrel, red apple, plum jam, roasted almonds, strong sweetened fruit compote, sweet dessert cream, forest honey, dates, raisins, malt beer, which is a sweetened composition of sweet fruit and partly berries, creamy dessert / honey and influences of oak. He looks a little older than 14 years. From time to time, some sulfur and muff, sugar beet syrup on the Sunday bun

      sweet and spicy start, some pepper, oak, dry wood, then it gets sweeter with fruit gums, vinous dry, dates, a trace of nuts, tart herbs, cloves, raisin, cocoa powder, cinnamon, brown sugar
    • Finish
      beautiful spicy-chocolatey finish with fine oak, dark chocolate, sherry, apples, some tobacco, warming and drier, nice long, creamy finish with hints of mint and roasted aromas

    pleasing sweet-fruity malt, which looks older than it is, but is also priced higher than the 21-year-old Glen Goyne, I would not directly compare the two - too different - who is on elegant sweet non-sticky sherry without bitterness, where fruity acids rather to play a supporting role is right here

      sweet, dates, raisins, a bit dusty - old cellar - sawdust with some resin, oak notes with vanilla, dark berries with fruity acidity, herbaceous aromatic forest honey, it looks ripe, old, round, smells wonderful
    • Taste
      fruity sweet with a hint of malt, very sweet dates and raisins, plums with cinnamon, minty tart oak tickles the tongue, cools the palate a little bit, the herbaceous sweetness is getting more and more intense - a bit like Ricola herbal candy - with prolonged chewing it becomes increasingly more complex even more wood and honey notes free in other facets
    • Finish
      medium long, warm, minty, becoming drier - with intense sweetness and beautiful notes of wood - invites you directly to the next sip

    • Nose
      Sweet-aromatic apple mixes with rum-raisins, is heavy and oily in the glass, no trace of oak or bitterness, rather sugary (sugar beet syrup), liqueur, subliminal caramel and tobacco (shisha tobacco). With water felt even sweeter in the aroma.
    • Taste
      First sweet and creamy, then suddenly onset of pepper and pleasant spice, tobacco and dryness sets in, only light oak cargo. Creamier and softer with less rough edges, but very tasty with more aromatic tobacco.

      long warming finish

    Wow, he got a good sherry, very tasty and good dilution reserve. Nevertheless, 100 € 'ne pretty flagpole, because you get under it similar good or older.

      dark and dry, cocoa, molasses, sugar beet syrup, tobacco, a very light alcoholic stinging, but with a drop of water flies, then there's fruity wine gums

      Walnut, dark chocolate, very strong - slightly pungent, tolerates good water, then lots of sweetness, chocolate, brown sugar, raisins, roasted nuts, cinnamon ... with lots of water the purest nut nougat cream

    Unlike my first tasting I like the Glengoyne really well today. With water, the malt opens and in my eyes, a tick more beautiful. Especially in taste and finish he shows his face better with water. For the current price (about 98 € as of August 16) I would prefer the 21er from the standard range.

      beautiful, dark chocolate that immediately reminds of Ritter Sport grape nut; in addition comes turnip leaves and dark forest honey; with a little time it gets spicier with oak; Nutmeg and cloves; in addition comes fresh brown bread; the alcohol is relatively well integrated and makes itself felt only in the background; with even a little more time it becomes even slightly musty with dusty leather and hints of cowshed (sulfur); the PX is there from the beginning, at first it stays in the background, but over time it becomes more and more present with water comes this typical apple note from Glengoyne, here in the form of chocolate apples

      now the alcohol is there and squeezes the malt neatly; a strong tingle is immediate; Chocolate and raisins; in addition there are coffee and roasted aromas; dark sherry and old, spicy oak it becomes creamy with water; now the sherry really comes into its own; again chocolate, raisins and oak, also come now dark fruits and berries
