    • Nose
Sulfur, tobacco, touch of smoke, cereal, chocolate, nuts and grapefruit.
    • Taste
Chocolate, orange, coffee with milk, oak, apricot, walnuts and cereal with a hint of honey.
    • Finish
Medium length, garlic, chocolate, ginger, ground coffee, sawdust, walnuts, orange, grapefruit and dried apricot.

  2. Dre73 scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

Pretty enjoyable, not very complex and a bit pale, but not thin.
    • Nose
      82 82
Light and fruity, apples, citrus, also something dusty. And something green, autumn forest. Later on stewed pears, and even some perfumed smell.
    • Taste
      81 81
Light pepper, and immediately lot's of caramel, and some cigar tobacco. Certainly not thin or watery.
    • Finish
      79 79
Still some pepper on the tongue, some cigar tobacco, now a bit pale and short, sweet, some caramel, a bit of peach.

  3. thijs100 scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

Certainly has an old school quality to it, but it is a bit of a one note whisky. I enjoyed it, but would not ever feel the need to have a whole bottle of this at home.
    • Nose
Some terpentine at first, as well as camphor, but it disappears after a little while. What remains is an inviting, albeit not very complex, nose. Some moss, dusty books, overripe apples, and a hint of menthol.
    • Taste
The palate is a bit weak, but there's still room for plenty of caramel and spices, burnt toast. Again some menthol and cigar tobacco as well.
    • Finish
A tad flowery, with lingering spices. Short to medium in length.
