    Very appetizing.

    Young, lovely, damp wood.
    To bite.
Like the wood of a popsicle.

    Otherwise slightly spicy notes.
    Something alcoholic.

    Violent start!
    Licorice, grapes, Mont Chery, glue.
The lovely oak smell is gone.
    Everything very intense, strong.

    Short, spicy finish.

    Pretty good.

A candidate for the summer whisky 2016! Such a tropical-fruity nose is not often found! In addition to intense vanilla, caramel and citrus flavors, as known from 1st Fill Bourbon Casks, this is a real pleasure. In the taste not so tropical, but just catchy for a balmy summer evening, where you can not do without a good malt. Price / performance is also right in my opinion absolutely.

I thank the Brühler Whiskyhaus for the tasting!
    • Nose
Lots of vanilla and marzipan, closely followed by a full broadside of sweet, light fruits. While one thinks of apricots and peaches at first, it quickly becomes clear that here are not the classic fruits, which are otherwise found in 1st Fill Bourbon matured malts, here it is really tropical. Watermelon, pineapple, perfume-like guava and caramelized sugar garnished with a spoonful of honey. Later, a subtle fruit acid can be heard, I think of lychees.
    • Taste
The first start is very sweet with hail sugar, caramel and known from the nose tropical fruit notes. After a few moments it becomes drier and brings some grassy notes. The Akohol gives strength, it tingles with some pepper and tannins on the tip of the tongue.
    • Finish
For the first time, the spicy facet takes over the lead in the medium-length finish. While vanilla cream and delicate fruit notes dance in the background, the American white oak with wood notes, pepper and cinnamon plays to its strengths in the foreground. Overall, the departure remains but on the soft, pleasant side.
