From the little snifter with a drop of water.
Nose: After pouring some glue, which flies right away, then a lot of sweetness, raisins, a few smoked woody herbs, some milk chocolate, a few walnuts, hazelnut shells and ground grape seeds that whirl some dust in the nose and slightly leathery, while the Raisins are still there. Later on, the typical sweet butterflies of Bruichladdich flash through. Overall, an interesting interplay. In the empty glass, butter and a few limes are left behind.
Taste: Moderate onset with sweet raisins , candied almonds, maybe a little marzipan, a little smoky bitterness. Black pepper.
Finish: Peppery spiciness, nutmeg, raisins, slightly bitter herbs and other spices remain. Pretty long. Conclusion: Nice nose. Taste and finish were a bit too bitter for me today. First "only" 86P.
