PLV was or is both great, for 15 years and blended Malt, the old complacent, mass suitable, the new a bit snappy, apparently made more for the Talisker fans (is also the most common pro-argument, what you hear - Pssst, there is Tailsker in it, 15 years old!).
After some time in the glass, the two become more and more similar.
    • Nose
      Parallel tasting 2012 vs. 2016:
old: very sweet and pleasing, honey, malt, toffee, a little orange, peach compote, only very little smoke, dry, inconspicuous
new: here the smoke is clearly in the foreground, dirty, organic, in the background malt and caramel sweetness, overall more intense
    • Taste
Here are both much more similar: tasty, round, a hint of orange / peach jam, malt, toffee, milk chocolate ... then clearly the smoke on the tongue, earth, leather, pepper, the new a whole lot more intense, sharper, bitter
    • Finish
medium long, old: very balanced between chocolate sweetness and bitter / peppery, new: the bitter again and sharp after

The green label has complexity and sophistication, price / performance fits. For me, he is not very much a jump bench 10, so I can recommend him.
    • Nose
Gentle, lemon zest, vanilla, sea breeze, oak, some sweetness, delicate smoke, peach, behind a leather note
    • Taste
slightly tingling, vanilla pudding, white peach, some oak, blossom honey
    • Finish
Medium long, oily, short chilli-catch, becomes dry, a hint of smoke

79 - the first bottle, there is no desire for details.

    20 20 21 20 81

Lab work with TOKLIAN (Alex Mikhnenko) - compared it in a lineup with 2010 (WB id 124802), 2012 (WB id 123158), standard 43% 2016 (WB id 80801) and 48% release for Taiwan (WB id 80396) .

release for Taiwan 48% - 21 20 21 20 82 - good, but very simple, maybe because they compared it in the lineup with older versions?)))
After standing up, he became more alcoholic, feeling that this is a strong version of 2016, an advanced version for hot Taipei)))
So he stood in the glass for a short time and so "liked", well, 82, if you are kind to him and do not chop ...

2016 - 20 20 21 20 81 - ok, simple, and not very easy to drink, maybe because they compared it in the lineup with older versions?))), This release is far from 2010 and 2012, sadly ... given stand him ... the assessment has not changed, 81 max

2012, Apple, Sweetness and Honey - Kragganmore Strength, Linkwood and sherry in action ... the taste is the same sweet, very tasty!
2010, more elegant than 2012, less sweetness, sharp, seems older than 2012, both in age and style, light tingling at 43% enhances the effect
2012 is more beautiful because of the sweetness, and 2010 is more elegant, old-regime, sharper, we assume the influence of either the old linkwood, or the old Talisker, or both.
Standing in 2010 unexpectedly changed, the Earth went (!), Very much like Bowmore))) - with the breath of the Islands in the batch, Speyside won! And still delicious - 86!
2012, the development process is similar to 2010, but more exhausted in a short time, but we will leave 85, delicious!

Solid whiskey. Of course, it does not stun one's own stool, but it does not really do anything wrong for the price.

This cheap blend has my preference as whiskey for in between. It is also called 'slobber whiskey'.

It tastes like coffee, chocolate, spices with smoke.

I think he's worth his money.

Nose: brown overripe apples, a splash of lemon juice, cereal biscuits with honey, some leather and a hint of earthy smoke, in all a very spicy (colorful pepper) wafts oak note. Will become more and more gentle over time with aromas of grass and flavored honey (vanilla and smoke from burnt wildflowers / herbs). Despite the gentleness an aromatic and full nose that is really fun.

Taste: starts mild and monotonous but rear up more and more. First lightly tingling apple juice and malt sweetness then the pepper beats through and a full bouquet of wild herbs and flowers unfolds, again aromatic honey and vanilla. This honey sweetness is also in the short to medium-long finish with over in the again the smoke something flashes but mainly from dry oak, leather and bittering agents from the wood is determined. Weak start - strong final and bitter finish. So also a very own and characterful taste.
