    Conclusion and pictures on: https://tomtrinkt.de
    • Nose
The Swede starts with a beguiling sweetness, many floral accents and spicy woody influences. In the first few minutes, the alcohol (46.1%) cools very slightly in the nose, which I do not find particularly disturbing. On the sweet side dominate intense red fruits, especially cherries, strawberries and raspberries are permanently present. Red grapes, citrus fruits, malt, vanilla, blossom honey, floral notes and spicy wood notes follow. A touch of ginger and hard-to-define spices complete the multi-faceted, exciting and very distinctive nose.
    • Taste
Unexpectedly strong starts the Mackmyra: Herb-spicy oak wood notes mix with extremely sweet flavors. The peppery tingle on the tip of the tongue lasts a few seconds at the first sip. The texture is very creamy and pleasant. Massive associations with "Mon Chéri" are awakened with me. Incredibly intense cherry notes are always dominant with more red berries. Caramel, honey, floral notes, mint, malt, various spices and herbs and a hint of licorice gradually become noticeable. The herb-spicy oak notes are always present in addition to the intense cherry aromas and harmonize well with each other.
    • Finish
Medium to long, sweet and spicy and slightly peppery. Freshly ground pepper dances again briefly on the tip of the tongue. Sweet fruit flavors and spicy notes of wood are also the focus at the finish line. Cherries, floral notes, honey, spices, tart oak and delicate hints of liquorice are noticeable. The Mackmyra leaves a slight bitterness and dryness on the palate.

I only paid € 39 for the whisky and I would buy it again immediately. Unfortunately, you will probably not get him for it :-(

I don't dilute normally, but it can take a little water, which makes it more complex.

One of the best whiskys I've ever drunk

  6. whiskybro scored this whisky 63 points Expert Senior

One of the worst whiskys I've ever had. Very unripe, metallic, pungent alcohol, light fruit. Quite okay in the nose, so he still stays above 50 points.

    Great nose. Delicious dram.
    • Nose
Very exciting! Pretty fresh at the beginning. Then it becomes intensely fruity. First oranges, which are then replaced by cherries with cream.
    • Taste
Spicy and strong at the start. Then briefly intensely fruity with a lot of cherry before the oak is back with spice and cocoa.
    • Finish
Mild and rather short. Without bitterness.

The whisky name should be like a time when you're blooming, referring to the Swedish song, a kind of summer hymn that sings at the end of the school year before the holidays. Also interesting is the influence of barrels after cherry wine. Barrels: Ex-bourbon casks saturated w. cherry wine American oak casks (New and 1st fill) Oloroso wine casks Pedro Ximenez casks
I tasted the sample imported from the Whisky Festival 2017. I was very surprised and here I would certainly not be bothered, for those who are looking for new, fresh scents and tastes it is definitely an interesting choice. I think even for those who like sweeter sherry whisky, or the influence of barrels on red wines. Just for someone like me. : D I write it to the notch as an adept at buying a bottle.
    • Nose
The smell is unusual, certainly revived by the cherry effect, and it is not bad at all. Třešňovice, žužu, cinnamon, the glow of ginger spilled with honey, some herbs, flowers. It's a lot to look for and discover, nice. (87 b)
    • Taste
Hmmm, the taste fits well with the smell, it's just so much harder. It tastes like a lot of sweet sherry, but there is also a cherry liqueur. Then cinnamon, wood and chocolate, spicy and sweet spices. It has such a smoky smoky or smoky smudge in the flavor, just really easy. (89 b)

The guys from Mackmyra have a knack for experimenting. Purist Scots would certainly seek the widest choice of barrels, but the result is impressive. Extremely complex and powerful with many unusual surprises, this is the best Mackmyra I have ever had.
    • Nose
A heavy sweetness swarms around the nose, many bright fruits, mild honey, grassy cereal notes, fresh oatmeal. With some time in the glass, the fruits are getting more and more mature and intense, then come mainly sweet and sour citrus fruits, over-ripe mirabelles and grapes. In the background also discreet cocktail cherries. Even earthy oak will become more and more dominant in the glass over time. The alcohol is always present, but does not really bother.
    • Taste
A very strong, sharp and mega-sweet start. Liqueur-like spreads the here rather sourish fruit sweetness explosively throughout the mouth. Even on the lips the sweetness sticks and one is always inclined to lick oneself. Cooling mint, liquorice, lavender, cereals and herbs such as dill and fennel give funny accents, and tart spicy oak notes dampen this carousel ride a bit and set a nice woody counterpoint.
    • Finish
The finish is very long and there is a very interesting persistent sweet chilli in the upper jaw, combined with a creamy sour sweetness like a compote of very ripe fruit. A touch of anise is added to it.

A well-balanced whisky for every occasion. Pleasantly light and mild without overstraining - 03.12.2016
    • Nose
Immediately comes to meet the strong sweetness, the first thought was BaKi, honey banana, red berries, sour cherry, lemon, strong alcohol, dark chocolate, ripe watermelon, Blumenpotpourri
    • Taste
Sweet tea, clover, cherry, creamy, creamy sweet, caramel, dried fruit, some oak, very mild
    • Finish
      medium

Overall, milder and more pleasant with water. Gosh ;) After the half bottle is gone and I played with one or two drops of water, I have to adjust my score and raise it from 85 to 89. A really versatile whisky
    • Nose
A touch of vanilla and cherry, sweet PX note (figs, raisins, etc.) fruity berry, cooling. After the first swallows association of sweet black tea with lemon or mint. At some point he reminds strawberry cream yogurt. With water come childhood memories of crushed bananas and biscuits.
    • Taste
Mon Cherie, fruit, spice, oak and light dryness, overall very sweet-tasty and creamy
    • Finish
long spicy-peppery finish, the sweetness remains in the mouth

The nose impresses with its fruitiness. The taste is the combination of fruity and floral sweetness and fine-sour wood very interesting and delicious. The finish is very pleasant, but not very long in memory. A great malt with a very good PLV.
    • Nose
The nose is very flowery from the first moment. Immediately, cherries and strawberries are pushing through the flower bouquet. Vanilla flavors and banana are added. After repeated smelling, the alcohol suddenly stands out and makes the fruit appear tart. Nevertheless, the nose retains its extreme fruit flavors.
    • Taste
At the first sip, the fruit mixes with fine bitter wood flavors. Creamy and syrupy, the taste releases a mixture of sweet fruits and fine, tart wood. Slight bizzling is noticeable on the palate. Pepper mixes with the now fruity wood. A hearty combination of fruit and bitter wood dominates.
    • Finish
The finish begins with this delicious combination of fruit and wood. Slight heat and pepper heat again and again on the palate. Nevertheless, this syrupy sweetness and fruit is above all else. For a long time, the finish ends.

Mood whisky - either the sweet liqueur just fits like a fist on the eye and it is really delicious, or it's not like something and "Bah - that's no whisky!". For the first Fal the 48 € are OK and the Enie-van-de-Meiklokjes design makes something in the summer whisky shelf.
    • Nose
a soft, spicy-woody note (nutmeg, cedar wood, some ginger, cardamom?), then very fruity and floral, sweet cherry, strawberry and raspberry jam, rose, some anise?
    • Taste
the berry jam becomes even sweeter, to the bitter-bitter direction, some plum jam, sugar beet syrup, molasses ... clear oak, some pepper
    • Finish
long, bittersweet, sugar beet syrup, pepper ... dry mouthfeel

Interesting Malt, which is sometimes too young and sweet to me.
    • Nose
Light. Malty sweetness. Honey. Vanilla. Floral notes. Cherries. Bananas. A touch of citrus.
    • Taste
Sweet and fruity flavors dominate again. Cherries. Berry. Tropical fruits. Honey. Some oak flavor. Metallic youth.
    • Finish
Not too long. Very sweet, almost like pink bubblegum. Berry. Honey. Treacle. Flowery finish.

Fresh, simple and clean. What’s not to like? It’s a summer whisky indeed and a pleasant surprise from the Swedish producer.
    • Nose
The nose is quite “malty”, that is to say, it’s youthful. However, it’s not necessarily in a bad way. Here are notes of honey, white flowers, pear peal, orange blossom and coconut.
    • Taste
Sweet, loads of honey notes. Even here, its youthful character comes through, and in a balanced way. And pineapple!
    • Finish
Easy, fresh finish and it lasts for quite a while actually. Here are notes of black pepper, honey, white flowers (might just be an illusion given its name; Blomstertid = “flower time”) and some sweet liquorish.
