Flavour profile: Spicy & sweet
Moist, sticky and spicy aromas were immediately apparent; syrup sponge pudding, toasted crumpets with gooey fruits, honey and yoghurt as well as scones with plum jam and cream and candied fruit marzipan. The taste did not disappoint, dark chocolate peanut butter candies and Dominosteine –gingerbread with layers of apricot jelly and marzipan all covered with a thin icing of dark chocolate. Diluted, the comforting homely scent of spiced apple mulled wine and creamy sweet eggnog using plenty of brandy. The flavours were as enticing, Snowball cocktails (advocaat, brandy, sweet cream Sherry, fresh lime juice and lemonade) and profiteroles with a hot chocolate sauce.
