Overall this is a dram that I prefer neat. The bitterness with water isn't my preferred.
    • Nose
      88 88
Sweet and flesh fruit smell. Pear and vanilla initially. Iodine background over the Laphroaig peat
Adding water refreshes it a lot and get to almost custard, orange and a tinge of lemon
    • Taste
      86 86
Palate is very fresh when it comes to fruit and vanilla. Then oak follows quite strong followed by the heat going up with peat.
Adding water to the mouth gets the bitterness out, a very limey taste. It also gets creamier in the mouth. The oak gets a bit smoothed out with water too.
    • Finish
      88 88
The finish is quite smooth and a bit acidic, in a good way, leaving on peat and grape with lime.
Adding water gets the finish to a far hotter taste, ending on custard.

N- Coastal notes, seaweed and sea shell. Trademark medicinal notes with burnt orange, thick smokes.

P- Bold flavours of pepper with charming fruity sweetness.

F- Long and plenty of fruits lingers. Punchy wood and strength took over, handful.
