      Diluted to 48.5%
      dry sherry flavors; alcoholic spiciness; spicy oak

      undiluted:
      significantly stronger; stronger sherry note; Molasses; Vanilla; Malt sweetness; delicate herbs; deep, dark dried fruit.
      significantly more facets than with water
    • Taste
      Diluted to 48.5%
      Nut; dry sherry; spicy; Prune; light, bitter oak

      undiluted:
      oily; again directly nut; Sharpness on the tongue from the alcohol; delicate oak
    • Finish
      Diluted to 48.5%
      spicy oak; Citrus; Sherry flavor, rather unspectacular
      In the end, a slight nuttiness remains

    Without added water a very decent sherry bomb. (This also refers to the score of 85).

    However, when water is added, it loses very markedly, because then a distinctive false note appears.

      without water: furniture polish, candied cherries, pronounced sherry notes, clearly alcohol

      with water: similar
    • Taste
      without water: very strong (65,5%!), juicy sweet prunes, oily (like syrup), spicy, oak (very slightly musty - not unpleasant), some pepper

      with water: from the prunes is now furniture polish, rotten, decayed oak wood (strong Fehlnote!), clear pepper sharpness;
      Overall, he loses significantly with water (mainly due to the fashionable taste)

      without water: long and warm, oak becomes more present, sweet spiciness, hazelnuts, peppery pungency

      with water: rotten, musty oak prevails, clear sharpness

    Good whisky, with the strength of alcohol, one would have won with water and bottles and could experiment more. Nothing extra original or unforgettable, but fine.
    • Nose
      Sherry, ground hazelnuts and walnuts, leather, raisins, cinnamon and varnish. (85 b)
    • Taste
      In the first impression razor-sharp, but the second sipper came to me more gentle and more accessible. Dry to dried sherry, nuts, warmth, chocolate, cocoa. (87 b)

    • Nose
      Nice sherry nose. The Oloroso provides a wonderful spice. Leather. Furniture polish. Black pepper. Herbs. From the beginning, the malt impresses with a distinct oak bitterness. After a few minutes, the whisky reveals more fruity aromas of ripe plums and pickled cherries. In the background, light roasted aromas are to be guessed.
    • Taste
      Strong start. Toasted bread. Nuts. Pepper. Treacle. Plum jam. Distinct oak flavor.
    • Finish
      Long. At first spicy with nuts, pepper and leather. Then fruity. Rum pot. Overripe berries. Freshly roasted coffee beans. Bitter finish with a lot of oak flavor.

    Nose slightly sweet, but extreme alcohol.
    To me personally too tasteless. The sharp alcohol drowns almost all flavors.
    Medium, peppery finish.

    With water:
    Sweet nose, plum, sour cherries, but the strong alcohol remains.
    The taste is much softer, but still a lot of alcohol. But also dark chocolate, caramel, fruit and slightly bitter.
    Very pleasant middle finish. A nice sweetness stays on the tongue.

    A damn good malt with water!
