All in all a nicely balanced whisky but lacking depth & complexity.
A subtle, sweet and balanced dram with aromas of almond paste, green apple, pears, banana peels, honey, cinnamon (maybe more on the cassia side), vanilla, bayleaf, fennel seeds, grapes, apple peels, floral tones, hay, grass, fennel, a faint musty tone (damp cellar?) and very subtle oak.
A powerful, sweet and rich whisky with aromas of honey, pepper, alcohol, aniseeds, red apple, golden sultanas, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, maple syrup, pear drops, hint to licorice, licorice root, floral tones (almost potpourri like), wont of extra verge olive oil, subtle tannins and subtle oak.
A medium, warm and slightly drying finish with aromas of pepper, ginger subtle tannins, hint of citrus, fennel seeds, subtle licorice, apple and a hint of oak.
