Whisky Reviews for Talisker 10-year-old

- Wonderful, one of my favorite peated whisky's!
Big blast of peat and brine, wonderful!
You start with peat and brine. After that, I get shellfish, pepper and charcoal. Texture-wise I feel like chewing this whisky.
Charcoal, BBQ and peat. After that a leathery taste. A surprisingly long finish for such a young whisky.
- love the initial kick of spices and the feeling of smoke so thick you almost have to chew it
- been a few years since my last bottle, much more complex and interesting than I remembered
peat, salty sea, leather cream or maybe shoe polish, some kind of boiler room,
left for a while I found red fruits, hints of sherry and faint vanilla
I find it a lot more ballanced, rounded and pleasing than I remember from previouse bottles
really spicy; black pepper and some salt, then thick smoke
the peat is surpressed by the spice and smoke
salty, the peat emerges a bit more, lingering on some sweet orange and a little bitternes of lime
