    • Nose
Old cellar, smoke tip. Small metallic note that happily disappears. Dried fruits.
      With water, toffee, nuts, hazelnuts
    • Taste
Moderate peat, rather mellow, well spiced.
It gains in thickness with a little water
    • Finish
      In coherence with the mouth.
With water, more accurate and longer.

      Whisky n ° 2010

      Enthusiasm 3/5
      (4/5 with water)

Very interesting and really good. The palate is fantastic. Altogether 89/90 points!
    • Nose
Smoke and sherry! You can tell right from the start. The smoke is intense and not comparable to the smoky batches of the Overaged or the Special Vatting. It is an aromatic, heavy, even sweet smoke. It reminiscent of so many e-cigarette smoke with fragrance component, just not so artificial. The smoke is accompanied and shaped by a certain sweetness and fruits. Dates, fresh and juicy plums. Also some malt is noticeable. The oak tree initially holds back. Time lets the smoke fade into the background and the fruit flavors change too. Pears and baked apples are now in my nose. Now something oak comes in the nose. Then it gets sweeter, almost like honey. The now really discreet smoke gives everything something very interesting. A little warmth of hand leads first to a short alcohol sting, but immediately disappears again. Malt comes through stronger, the whisky now looks younger and fresher. The impression does not stay long, sherry, dates and figs come back. The smoke is somehow clearer again. It's fascinating how the impressions change. After some time orange comes to it, but a ripe and juice dripping orange.
    • Taste
Full and first of all a delicious, fruity sherry palate with a certain sweetness. Then - after 2-3 seconds - the smoke is added, but displaces nothing, only enriches! Fruity-smoky and incredibly full and creamy, the whisky spoils the mouth. The dark, but juicy and fresh fruits are there. The smoke is there. Sweetness is here. Some herbal mix completes the picture. The alcohol is not felt in any way. The second sip hides more smoke.
    • Finish
Medium to long, although a slight smokiness stays with fruit long. Only the heat does not stay too long. From the second sip the finish is undoubtedly long and warm with a great interplay of smoky and fruity side.

tasted at the legendary bar of fire MC!
An ode to whisky without concessions!
    • Nose
very sweet, cold tobacco, light peat, yellow fruits, sweet spices and wood!
    • Taste
peat, spices, roasted hazelnuts, and viscous macerated fruit, sticking under the tongue!
    • Finish
again the peat mingling with candied orange, the black cherry and the return of the wood. At the end of the glass, a little iodine.

In the context of a Michel Couvreur whisky sample.
    • Nose
some smoke, sherry, roses, cucumber water, orange, some spice of oak
    • Taste
very soft onset, very sweet, some smoke, strawberry, milk chocolate
    • Finish
clear smoke with sherry, almost obscene sweet, again cucumber water, some oak, warming

Lovely sweet nose - raisins, sour cherries. The taste clearly shows the cask strength. Still sweet and fruity with toffee and red grapes. Amazingly short but peppery finish. With water: the nose becomes even sweeter. The taste and finish significantly softer. A great drop from Couvreur.
