This young Puni is still relatively reserved and mild. For example, ALBA brings a lot more with it. So this NOVA comes a bit too shallow and boring on some days. But on other days I really like the sweet vanilla and honey flavors and the unusual floral notes. And there is no unpleasant metallic youth, even if you already tell him the young age. Since I like the Puni basic character, I'm definitely looking forward to what the only Italian whiskey distillery will offer in the coming years.
    • Nose
First, the whiskey is still a bit closed, but then opens relatively quickly with sweet and mild rape honey, freshly cut grass and floral aromas (clover, tulips, dandelion). Behind it are subtle dry cereal notes, some straw, something sweet-sweet vanilla and a dry oak note comes through a bit. The floral aromas gradually change to a subtle bitterness that reminds me of sliced aloe vera.
After the first sip, the smell is complemented by a lovely floral soap scent and an exotic fruitiness (lime, pineapple, coconut, artificial banana flavor).
    • Taste
As expected, the taste is relatively mild with subtle sweet oak, some vanilla, light chocolate and the floral and fruity aromas of Nosing.
    • Finish
Here are very subtle roasted aromas, apple seeds and vanilla wood notes. At the end of the relatively short finish, a subtle dry mouthfeel remains, with slightly bitter floral notes (tulip stem, aloe vera).

dry on the button, fruity, spicy. Followed by vanilla, again spicyness, white grapes, a bit of malt, fresh grain. Caramel, pear.
    • Finish
Toffee, honey, vanilla, nice spicy. The finish is the best thing about the whiskey, very nice finish. Again juicy grapes.
Toffee, honey, vanilla, pleasant spicyness. The finish is the highlight of this whiskey, for me. Again juicy white grapes.

Just OK for 3 years aging in a cask, needs several more years to be a real whisky...

A drop for lovers of very (!) Light, non-smoky malts with no or extremely low. Certainly well done and good drinkable. For me, this Nova in a blind tasting but hardly gone through as whiskey. In addition, a little more complexity and depth of taste would be good. Let's see what Puni fills in the future.
    • Nose
A mixture of fruity Grappa and Obstler. Hardly recognizable as whiskey for me. The nose is dominated by almonds, subtle vanilla, pears, plums and citrus fruits.
    • Taste
Light fruits, vanilla, some almonds and nuts. Overall, very mild and unfortunately a bit "flat".
    • Finish
Short. Unfortunately, the subtle, quite pleasant taste is gone quickly. Almond, citrus fruits and a hint of vanilla are also present in the finish.

fruits, fruits and fruits again. my first Impression was my granny's fruit Marmelade. which is perfectly all right but not in my Whisky! the Price for a three year old, not even scottish, Whisky is not reasonable, the design is nice which is why they got a Gold medal for the design. Definitley not my style, sorry
