This is just a masterpiece of bourbon, which is served to us at full strength and for a perfectly sane money. Very strong and daring, but insanely neat and of high quality. In my opinion, he doesn’t need water at all, he should be just like he is in the bottle. I am not a fan of the bourbons, but I can not help but give him high praise.
    • Nose
Quite sandwiched, but at the same time very intense, heavy, deep, a little fresh, a high degree is felt. Drying oil, antique wood furniture store, caramel, acetone, nail polish remover, popcorn, wet wood, maple syrup, burnt sugar, smoke nuances.
    • Taste
Oily, very full, full, decently bites the fortress, but it is very pleasant, sweet with a spicy sourness. Fat rum woman with chocolate, Brettes, black pepper, caramel, a lot of tasty wood, ripe oranges, cloves, sweet pastry spices.
    • Finish
Just eternal, tart, spicy pepper, delicate, sweet tannin. Chocolate, wood, black pepper, sweet spices.

    • Nose
Ethereal, slightly pungent. Toothpaste, a little mint, a hint of turpentine. Campari orange, dry sand. Behind it, overripe honeydew melon.
    • Taste
Cooling. Gletschereisbonbons, aquavit, a touch of caraway. Lemon ice cream, vodka.

    Great bourbon. 87 points.
    • Nose
Sweet vanilla. Caramel. Blood orange with sugar. The adhesive is subtle, hardly noticeable, even pleasant. In addition comes thyme, it becomes kräutriger. The alcohol cools, but is tame for the paper form. Time brings some spicy cheese. Water first of all produces the alcohol. Then comes eucalyptus.
    • Taste
Sweet and spicy. Juicy blood orange here too. Tingling and full. Roasted aromas, dark chocolate. Water : It's sweeter and fuller with water.
    • Finish
      Long, bitter, sweet.

The best of the bourbons I tested. 85 he dared him boldly. Drank clean, no water added
    • Nose
The whole polytra of the paint and varnish shop in which the elephant climbed: lacquer, acetone, paint, sweet corn, sugar syrup, skips honey-flower component. There are insignificant vkrasiny vanilla and cinnamon.
    • Taste
Burning, the degree is certainly felt, viscous, thick, board, oak, sweetness is quite moderate.
    • Finish
Pleuvkusie average duration, pleasant warming, varnish, polish, corn.

  7. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 90 points Connoisseur

To this day one of my absolute favorite bourbons, deep, multi-layered, also tolerates many months of open time and plenty of time in the glass.
    • Nose
Coconut bomb, full of dark honey, some hazelnut, very concentrated and strong like a strong cognac, lots of vanilla, but also a little sapphire, marzipan, cinnamon and nutmeg, some banana and glue added as well
    • Taste
Hazelnut, full-bodied but still rounded, very deep, sapphire, peach with kernel, grapefruit, cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper and some clove, dark honey, marzipan and stollen, banana jellies in chocolate and nougat
    • Finish
Dry sweet, full caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, peach with shell and kernel, very well reverberating, warming, long

A little long to open, it reveals mainly caramel. In the mouth, hard to ignore the alcoholic force. There too, there is caramel. Well done, but a bit smooth.
Second tasting, one year later on another bottle: Pain to indulge. After a quarter of an hour, shy cherries. Intense. Boise wet? Strange. Chocolate more and more present. The alcohol covers a little too much the rest. On the palate, intense, fruity and juicy. Stubborn spices even in the final.

With a little water, the nose exudes caramel greedy, the mouth of the brandy cherries brandy and dry wood.

    Enthusiasm 3/5
