- Soft, sweet, vanilla, coconut ... delicious. But not so mild, there is also a little peat smoke in the finish.
- Body: Smooth,firm, slightly gritty.
Very aromatic and spicy.
Richer, more substantial. Fuller flavours. Sandy and salty notes.
Robust. Intensely salty. Very long aftertaste. Soothing.
- That was already a great whisky for 60 € / liter (2010), my favorite Glenmorangie back then, after I was "through" with the Wood Finish series, that made me consciously like bourbon cask whiskys as well.
he was allowed to breathe for a long time in the open bottle - initially dusty, old wood, a bit of a citrus note, crispy-biscuit, which gets a sip of water -> coconut cookies, cereals, vanilla, a little hay, the alcohol is present, but rather refreshing as piercing, even more water brings fruity notes, lemon, pineapple, banana -> gummy bears
initially fruity, peach, tangerine, banana, then sweeter, cereals, overripe banana, milk chocolate, goes into milk coffee, nut, some pepper
long, warm, dry and peppery
- Beautifully composed, beautifully intense, a very good ex-bourbon whisky
Sweet, cotton candy, nectarine, sour apple, vanilla, malty, some leather, slightly spicy, a hint of chocolate
Full-bodied, chocolate, sweet, nectarine, juicy, a little espresso, roasted, bittersweet
The apple is stronger, ripe and floury, sour, apple peel, slight sharpness, while bitter dark chocolate
