- For me these old Canadian Seagram's are always a sort of guilty pleasure. Not pretentious at all, overlooked by the masses, but very drinkable. Most of them taste very similar anyway. This particular bottle is more special to me, because the whiskey was distilled in my year of birth.
Not very intense, but with a distinctive rye presence. Corn and grainy. Fresh cedar wood. Cider apple. Peel zest and marmelade. Also some menthol developing into more soapy notes.
Smooth with yellow apples, mango and papaya. Gingerbread with cinnamon. Honey and vanilla at the background as well. It's all very gentle and soft.
Not that long. Nutty dryness. Little cinnamon. Liquorice at the end.
- The nose is light and fruity, with some sherry notes creeping in, smells older than 6 years.
Palate is very light but its all pleasant and sweet like a quality grain is. Not what I usually like but much better than I was expecting and if you want an easy night this would be just the ticket
