Green apples and pears. Banana and kiwi. Herbs, then mango. Then really big on cherry. Strawberry jam. Finally vanilla and sweet oranges

Oily! Just a big tropical salad. Citrusy. Spices and red berries
    • Finish
      89 89
Long. Tropical notes remain, as well as the spiciness. Some oak bitterness

  5. wheatfield scored this whisky 90 points Expert Junior

Medium gold pour. Interesting nose on some different fruits this time -- lychee, pear -- rather than nectarine and peach. Mouth is soft at the entrance, and unfolds into a very pleasant and "round" array of soft fruits, yeast, lightly funky flavors. It's hard to pick out individual flavors here. Alcohol burn comes at the finish rather than at mid-palate. Perhaps some savory fruit chutneys round out the mouth. Texture could be thicker but it's very nice.
