There is hardly any cask influence here, but a fresh distillate that was obtained from properly peated malt.
If you like cask-strength whisky with a lot of smoke aromas and light fruits, you will probably be happy here for 40-50 euros.
Very youthful nose with intense but alcoholic aromas. Aromas of citrus, apple, grass and some peat smoke. The 57 percent are too present for me, although they are well integrated - if you like such young cask strengths: fine.
Here it comes from the flavors - not the volume! - Very thin over and predominantly I find simple peat smoke flavors and some light fruits. Must like it, but personally I don't see why I would want to give myself a dual flavored 57 per cent whisky to numb my taste buds.
Surprisingly little spicy for the 57 percent, but still not necessarily mild. After 20 seconds, my tongue is numbed by the 57 percent. The mouthfeel is still clean, but I can't tell if the finish is short or medium-length when my entire palate is numb.
