Whisky Reviews for Bowmore 12-year-old
7 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.69 points
Fine sea breeze, light Sherry sweetness with dried fruit notes and peat smoke. Later also oak, seaweed, stockfish, lavender and oranges.
Soft and moderate. Full of peat smoke, salty, fern, nutty and malty and a bit maritime.
Salted nuts, endive, seaweed, smoke, light smoke. Medium.
- Nose:- Dried petals and roasted barley. Obvious mineral salty notes, shellfish. A touch of smoke at far end. Palate:- Rooty herb extract bitterness, balanced with sweet malt and
touch of cola, medium, buttery. Some dark cocoa coming thru at tail.
Puff of light smoke linger.
Finish:- Warming, medium length. Iodine reveal, touch of spiciness remains. Approachable but lightly muted.
