Fresh, coastal, sherry, liquorice, leathery, tobacco
Oily, creamy, cardboard, beer, flowery, caramel
Medium long, ashy, spicy
- blind tasting
meaty sherry, nuts, forest fruits - berries, gooseberries and liquorice
oily, some peat, wax, honey and caramel
some ashes, berries, liquorice and spices
- Good stuff
Unstruck matches, but not offensive. Prunes, raisins, toasty oak, faint hint of nail polish
Sherry sweet, wood spice, butterscotch, malt
Here is the magic, powerful fade of spice, dark fruit (prunes) leather and chocolate
- Surprised to see that this one's still available after 5 years, because this is a stunning whisky.
There's the dark sherry notes, such as prune, toffee, cherry, raisin and date. Then there's that typical exactly right dose of sulphur that adds some spice like laurel and liquorice. And last but not least there's that mature touch of leather that you normally only find in sherried whiskies of over 25 years old. Great rich nose, 90+.
Prune, toffee, leather, coffee and clove.
Prune, laurel, liquorice, cherry, toffee and rum raisins.
