Absolutely wonderful and incredible for 13Y! The power well integrated, everything was great.
    • Nose
Pure chocolate sauce at its best, cherry cake, dark tobacco and burnt creme brulee, nutmeg, cinnamon
    • Taste
Chocolate cake, a lot of power behind it, chilli, cherry, black walnut, tobacco, dark honey, nutmeg, cinnamon, licorice, orange bitters, wild garlic, leather armchair, chest of drawers
    • Finish
Dry-sweet with chocolate continues, now more and more tannins and oak, leather, nutmeg, long

  2. Corso_theRed scored this whisky 89 points Expert Senior

Where might this come from? I did not get any Glenfarclas vibes to be honest, but who knows? Very sherried and heavy. A little on the dry side of things, but overall a very tasty malt!
    • Nose
Immediately full of dried fruit, plum sauce, cocoa powder. Oak essence dissolved in soy sauce. Savory, with curry and cumin; then sweet of caramel. Dusty undertones, coffee beans, and whiffs of solvents.
    • Taste
Juicy arrival but quickly drying. Black tea, orange oil, and dates. Faint vanilla and cinnamon.
    • Finish
Medium. Quite tannic, with caramel cake and sweetened licorice.

A very good choice, Anthony !
    • Nose
Powerful with a typical Glenfarclas rich sweet sherry aroma. Toffee, chocolate and Jaffa orange cookies. Very tasty.
    • Taste
Warming, rich and fully flavored. Sweet sherry, old wood, dark chocolate and plenty of coffee aroma. Surprisingly I can not find any fruity notes but nevertheless it tastes really nice.
    • Finish
Very long, sherried and pleasant. Becoming more coffeeish towards the end.
