Yes, I like that. The maritime touch is very good, especially the clear seabreaze nose is great, but also the rest is fun. In this Wemyss bottling the name is program.
    • Nose
very clear and maritime, walk on the windy beach, algae, lots of lemon, mango, passion fruit, mint
    • Taste
BUMS, there isser! Smoke, spray, pepper, salt, lots of lemon, drink well without water
    • Finish
dry, long, salty, lemony, ashen, and there's the mint again

one of my best Bowmore from an independent bottler ever

it’s worth every cent  -  finger licking good mhmmmm :-)
    • Nose
mint, salty brize, honey sweet, vanilla, citrus

very complex  -> conclusion: fresh & sweet combined with sea air
    • Taste
      1st impression: liquorice sweet

peper or ginger (but not the alcohol)

later on sweetness and salty (strange but both flavors are present)

a hint of bitterness but also again combined with sweetness

(really hard to make your mind - but I like those differences)

fruits: hmmm hard to decide - grapes, citrus, pear, grapefruit & flowery

      also a hint of ashes
    • Finish
the sweetness in particular the liquorice taste stays and stays and stays ...

by the time you feel the tannins (softy bitterness)

even after minutes the sweetness is still present

great, lemon-fresh, m&m (mint and maritime) nose.. with a pinch of salt..

with water, wool and after rain air.. stern!
    • Taste

neat, too sweet.. becomes dryer and smokier with water.. oily, fat.. yes, I’m on Islay!
    • Finish
      88 88
sweetness stays.. echoes of smoke and lemons. pleasantly hot.

Very great dram, despite the barrel size extremely involved and mild on the tongue slides.
    • Nose
      90 90
Maritime and mineral with lots of citrus notes, including vanilla and honey, delicate and cold smoke
    • Taste
      90 90
Citrus sweetness, mineral notes, light smoke, the vanilla comes through, creamy, tidy oak spice intensifies the smoke behind
    • Finish
      89 89
Smoky and at the same time sweet finish, lasts a very long time

Tasting my last dram of the bottle, the best part was het last quarter. The flavors of the flinty grassy notes come a bit better trough. The 'salted peanuts' descriptions is spot on, 40% of the time this is how it tastes and then it evolves towards something else. Nice whisky but far the best bourbon vintage 90 I had. Paid 140€ end 2016 which is a 'cheap' price for an 19yo Bowmore nowadays...
