At the beginning, the alcohol darkly puffs around peaty notes, which are quickly supplemented with exotic fruits, while the alcohol withdraws. Fried fish with rice and soy sauce appear after a few moments, extremely bizarre; unfortunately only briefly, I had just got hungry. ;-)
After a few more minutes, a beautiful smoky note evolves, reminiscent of a half-extinguished campfire, along with slightly dark malt syrup and a pleasantly dry, mineral earthiness. There the fish is again, reproducible, it always appears when you put the glass after nosing. But now I'm really hungry ...
When Nosing now also burned meat at the barbecue, when discontinuing now intense floral, as intense as in the flower shop. What a surprise bag! Sauerkraut with bacon, fried rice from the Chinaman, the hearty notes do not want to end.
So here we are dealing with a very clean "normal" base nose that is interwoven with all sorts of appetizing stuff, which has made me order a grilled plate for now. Heat finally makes it a bit more fruity and mineral, even a little camphor is now found.
Buttery, with a very strong onset, liquid block malt and fine oak straight forward, in addition still the hearty notes in the nose, which complement each other perfectly with a good dose of salt and light acidity and some moist rock. Salted caramel would also be a keyword. In addition a full mouth feeling and a very good balance.
In the finish, the sweetness is slow to leave the field first to the tannins of the oak, before at the end of slightly aqueous-looking ashes remain medium-long on the tongue. A slight hint of menthol cools and numbs the mouth.
