Whisky Reviews for Braeval 2001 DL

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.33 points

  1. diamond2000 scored this whisky 87 points Expert Junior

Aroma: delicate, sweet, honey-citrus, floral, distinct minerality, chalk, lime plaster. The second wave is vanilla pastries, egg whites whipped with sugar, white chocolate, crumb of white bread, burlap, light citrus sourness. Very soft, straight airy, sweet-confectionery aroma.

Taste: honey, ripe pear, white grapes, sweet citrus fruits, zest, light pepper spicy, vanilla.

Finish: medium length, again a spectrum of sweet fruits, citruses, spicy zest, vanilla, slightly tannic, warming.

    Rating: 87

Bottom line: an excellent spacer from the Lings came out, sweet-fruity, and even flavored with honey, but everything is in balance, not cloying and very drinkable. It’s not at all boring and not a passing whisky, in taste it echoes the base Clynelish 14.
