    on tap:

Jack & Stephen Teeling composed the 14 year old single malt "Brothers in Arms" for "on tap". Stephen Teeling's share is again the elegant, light and finesse, in the "First fill Bourbon barrel ripened" single malt from the year 2000. Whereas the part of his brother Jack is a 1991 (!) Distilled, in Sherry Butts developed whisky, the color, brings rich fruit and complexity as well as length into the product. A delightful Irish single malt with golden yellow color, a fine fruity, malty and multi-layered nose, in which one always wants to reinriechen. On the palate sustainable, yet again elegant, malty and fruity, with a certain weight, of perfectly rounded style, with a great finish and great reverberation.

This malt is close to rye whisky, good but not very complex. The taste doesn't stay long.
    • Nose
Sweet apricot and vanilla. Something spicy or herbal like rye whisky. A hint of wine and fruits. All in all a smooth smell.
    • Taste
Sweet at the beginning, then strong oak quickly. A bit of dark fruits, apricot or peach. Malty rye overall.
    • Finish
A clear oaky bitterness remains with dark cacao. It gets quite dry in the end.

Too bad that the nose holds back. The taste had surprised me. I have to try it again.
    • Nose
Sweet, wet wood. Clove spice. Green banana. Something like vanilla candy. Furniture polish. The nose is generally holding back. With some time in the glass comes through a fruit note. Could be apple. Everything but very mild. Slightly nutty with a bitter note. Little alcohol noticeable.
    • Taste
Relatively strong, spicy start. I would not have thought now. The apple is there, but a sour one. The sweet, wet wood is coming. But not nearly as strong as in the nose. Generally rather spicy and slightly acidic with citrus notes. Slight biting on the tongue. Oily mouthfeel. The colleague does not give me much price at the moment.
    • Finish
Short to medium. There's the furniture polish. A little espresso

The nose does not reveal much flavor. All the more surprising is the pronounced fruit note on the tongue. The Teeling character is noticeable.
    • Nose
A reserved nose. Floral and fruity notes. Some green apple and pear. Slightly malty. Even after a while, the nose reveals little flavors.
    • Taste
In the beginning, fruity maltiness dominates. The apples from the nose are immediately on the palate, but much more concise. To the apples come here still bananas and Mandarinen. Fresh fruit salad. Freshly beaten wood towards the end.
    • Finish
The finish is rather short. What remains is fruit and oak aroma.
