T: malty, bitter fruits, some liquorice, honey and nuts
F: medium with grains, vanilla, honey and cranberries
- Where's the sherry in this whisky? Should have been a very inactive sherry cask.
At first acidic (baby sick?). Fortunately more fruity sweetness later on. Passion fruit, melon and pear. With time it gains more complexity.
Typical Clynelish mineral flavours. Tropical fruit and maly notes. Some spice (stuffed peppers and cloves) at the end.
Not that long. Bitter-sweetness. Oaky.
- The nose ruins this one for me, and I was very surprised that the palate & finish doesn't show anyof the for me revolting notes, but is actually very intersting and quite pleasant.
