Whisky Reviews for The Black Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 46.00 points

  1. Bosi scored this whisky 45 points Specialist

A big disappointment as I'm a fan of smoky blends. However, the Black Grouse never convincing, starting with the bad flavor over the complete lack of complexity to the boring finish. I prefer to go back to the Johnnie Walker Black Label.
    • Nose
One of the worst whiskeys I ever had. The aromas are very flat with medicinal notes of gauze bandage and some lemon.
    • Taste
The taste is balanced between smoke and malt, but offers hardly any other notes.
    • Finish
The finish is medium in length and pleasant, but again no new flavors come to light.
